Wins, Lessons and Growth

Read time: Under 4 minutes
The faster we go, the calmer I feel…
Fuelling the Fire | Busy = Calm
This week was solid. A good kind of busy. The kind that gives me a sense of calm through motion.
The faster we move in the companies, the more peace I feel internally. When things slow down, my mind turns up the volume… new ideas, new problems, new "maybe I should build a spaceship"-type thoughts. So I’ve learned: stay moving, stay building.
We're rocking and rolling now, at pace across the companies, and things are syncing with the new management team, a big win this quarter.
On the home front, I’m also figuring out how to manage an 11 (almost 12)-year-old, who’s now somehow the height and strength of an 18-year-old. Pray for me.
At the same time, my family’s fragmented, one sister in Spain, one in South Africa, parents 50/50 on location, and me and my boy here for the next five years or so. That’s the current rhythm.
But here's the real reflection from the week…
MIND
On Community: Then, Now, and Beyond

Gif by gaycation on Giphy
When I think about community, I think about the past. Ancient times. Tribes. Simplicity.
Back before capitalism and imperialism bulldozed everything, we were just people, raising people, in groups no bigger than 150. It worked.
Nowadays, everything’s fractured.
Friends I grew up with are spread out, raising families, living wildly different lives. I spent years in a tight band of brothers, a chaotic crew on our own version of the Peter Pan Lost Boys journey. We had each other’s backs, raised my son together at times, lived like every day was an adventure.
Then one year passed. Then another. Suddenly I looked around, and I was standing solo.
That’s been hard. No lie.
But it’s taught me something: Community matters. Deeply.
It’s how we feel love, share laughter, and hold purpose.
I still imagine a future where those I love come together to build something - a little self-raising village. Not to escape the world, but to live in it with more meaning. A place for skill-sharing, storytelling, wisdom-trading.
Because if tech crashes tomorrow and the world resets, what matters most?
Good people around you. That’s what.
BODY
Walks, Sunlight, and the CrossFit Battle
The sun is back, and people’s moods are changing. Behaviour’s shifting. You can see it in the streets, more movement, more smiles.
I found a new walk near the office, peaceful park, lakes, no more than an hour. It's quickly becoming my go-to during lunch or after a long day. Clears the head.
Physically, I keep bouncing in and out of committing to CrossFit again. I miss the push, the structure, the team energy. But it's pointless if the fuel’s not right. Good food, good training - no shortcuts.
So I’m still battling the start line. But I’ll get there. Probably when I least expect it.
EXPLORATION
People, Pyramids, and Possibilities
This week, the exploration wasn't geographical - it was human.
I’ve been meeting a wave of new team members for Project O, mostly concentrated around London, which has made in-person meetups far easier than the usual international puzzle.
People are fascinating. They hold the key to everything.
But the only external discovery that had me buzzing? New evidence about the pyramids.
What if Nikola Tesla was right?
What if the pyramids really were ancient energy systems, not tombs?
Free global energy, drawn straight from the Earth.
It's wild. But then again, so is reality when you stop accepting the default version you’re given.
CHALLENGE
Cut the Noise. Feel the Difference.
This week’s challenge is simple (For you!):
Spend less time on social media.
Just try it. A little less each day. Then watch how your mind quiets, your focus returns, and your energy shifts.
I’ve been off IG, TikTok, Facebook for over 2 years now. Guess what?
I haven’t missed a thing.
I don’t know what Bob or Janet are doing this weekend and I’m OK with that.
I get my information from:
📍 Perplexity.ai
📍 X (formerly Twitter)
📍 Newsletters (with peer-reviewed, neutral data)
📍 YouTube TLDR Channel (thank you, friend who sent that!)
I stay informed. I stay sane. And I stay focused.
If you want recommendations, I’ve got you. But here's the main thing:
Distraction is the enemy of growth. Cut the noise, and you’ll hear what matters.
Final Thoughts
To Win, Learn.
To Grow, Focus.
The formula this week is simple:
Wins come from lessons. Lessons lead to growth. Growth requires clarity.
And clarity is damn hard when you’re plugged into 19 things at once.
To win, we need to:
✅ Interact with people, whether social or business.
✅ Face discomfort and integrate back into real-world community.
✅ Shut out distortion and focus on real, validated information.
This week was full of reminders.
The world’s spinning fast. But if you’re surrounded by good people and fed by good information, you’ll be fine.
TL;DR 🚀 | This Week in a Nutshell
Win: Syncing with my new management team = momentum.
Lesson: You need people. Community isn’t optional, it’s essential.
Growth: Stepping away from noise (social media) leads to clarity and expansion.
Mind: Ancient tribes remind us, keep your circle tight, full of love, full of support.
Body: Walking is back. CrossFit is calling. The diet? Still loading…
Exploration: Recruiting for O. Blown away by new pyramid discoveries.
Challenge: Reduce social media time. Tune into real life again.
Yours in exploration,

Captain Sprigg
