Unknown Frontier

Diving Deep

Fuelling the Fire… A Fork in the Road…

Last week, there was no newsletter - my bad. I know, only human. The truth? I was operating at a hell of a pace and selfishly decided last Sunday was a nothing day. I maybe have four of those a year, one a quarter, a full recharge.

And I took it.

Now, back to it.

Life is full of decisions. Some feel small, others shift the entire trajectory. I’ve made many, everyday choices, bold moves, and a few that have rewritten my future. Lately, I’ve found myself staring at a fork in the road, one leading toward the known, the other… well, completely uncharted.

I’ve chosen the unknown.

Not on a whim, but because of a vision… one I’ve been shaping for years. O-IC isn’t just an idea; it’s a commitment to seizing opportunities as they unfold, to building something bigger than ourselves.

It’s about stepping away from expectations, embracing the chaos, and creating the future on our own terms.

It’s funny how a single decision can feel like letting go of an old version of yourself (the one that imagined a traditional life) and stepping boldly into uncharted territory.

In that moment, I found clarity.

So here we are, diving deep into the unknown, with a healthy dose of humour and a dash (I said dash) of irreverence.

MIND
Do, or Do Not

Business is a mental marathon, but sometimes the real sprint happens in the quiet moments when you let your mind wander. This week, in the mix of strategy sessions and boardroom meetings, I took some time to reflect on how our choices shape our destiny.

I realised that clinging to outdated dreams can hold us back from truly experiencing life. Instead, why not embrace the unknown and let curiosity lead the way?

I’ve always been about pushing boundaries.

On a side-note: I was once doing a talk at the University of Northampton when a young entrepreneur whispered his “top secret” idea to me? Years later, I bumped into him again, and his project was still floating in limbo. It’s a reminder that timing, focus, and a willingness to let go of old visions are the keys to breaking limits.

I’ve done just that with my own life, trading the conventional for a future filled with exploration and possibility… keep ya posted.

BODY
Waking Up the Warrior

I’m a firm believer in starting the day with a bit of movement.

My mornings are sacred: I jump out of bed (after a few gentle stretches, of course - duh I am 34 bruh), do a quick bodyweight routine;

some push-ups,
planks,
a few stretches to shake off the sleep
and then down a big glass of water.

(I take my heights vitamins and contemplating adding the mushroom gummies in next… I’ll let you know)

It’s my simple way of telling my body, “lets go” (Like Nicholas Cage in Gone in 60 Seconds) and remember: no screens for an hour before bed and the first hour after waking - trust me, your brain will thank you.

This ritual isn’t just about fitness, it’s about grounding myself for the day, clearing the mental fog so I can dive deep into whatever challenges come my way and burn the energy off… If you’ve met me, you know, I have this weird natural source of energy… 247, that even drives me up the wall! As I pace past familiar faces but don’t stop to chat, they go “meep, meep.” (Road runner reference).

EXPLORATION
Don’t look up!”

My internet kept bombarding me with talk about a massive asteroid heading for Earth in seven years… Now, normally that might set off the panic alarms, but I prefer to see the humour in it. If a giant rock decides to crash our party, well! It’s a reminder that some things are simply beyond our control.

Stress often comes from trying to manage the uncontrollable.

Focus on what you can control.

And honestly, if that asteroid does show up, I hope the government and the press have sorted a plan, until then, I’m just going to keep wondering the meaning of life…

Oh, I almost forgot, here’s the “risk zone”

Oh and p.s p.s the chances of it striking are 3.2%

CHALLENGE
Breaking the T code…

After tackling sugar (which, by the way, I feel like I’ve nailed), I’m setting my next challenge: cutting down my tea intake. Not tea itself, just the sheer volume of it.

Here’s the deal—I’ll have one tea in the morning before I leave the house, and water from there on out. Until I can regulate this addiction (because let’s be honest, it is an addiction).

The funny thing? I never even drank tea when I first moved to the UK. Growing up in Spain, it made no sense to have hot drinks in that heat. And even after nearly a decade in England, I still didn’t get it. Then one winter day, freezing my arse off, I finally caved—maybe I really am here for the long haul. Tea became my survival mechanism. And now? One to two cups per hour during my workday. That’s craaaaaazyy.

I tried two days without it and, let me tell you, the dependency headache was real. I practically sprinted to the kettle to make it stop.

So, this is my challenge for February and March—reining it in. One morning tea, then water. I’ll keep you posted… if I survive. 😉

Embracing the Unknown, One Cup at a Time

This week’s newsletter has been all about choices, big ones, small ones, and the ones that sneak up on you when you least expect them. Whether it’s choosing to fully commit to an unknown path, refining a daily routine, or even reassessing something as simple as a tea habit, every decision shapes the bigger picture.

Sometimes, it’s about letting go of old visions. Other times, it’s about taking control where you can and surrendering to the chaos where you can’t.
The key? Keep moving forward. Keep questioning. Keep choosing to build something greater.

And if all else fails, at least we’ve got seven years to figure out what to do about that asteroid… 😉

TL;DR 🚀 | This Week in a Nutshell

  • Life update: Took a rare “nothing day” for a full recharge, back at it now.

  • Mind: Letting go of outdated dreams, pushing boundaries, and embracing curiosity.

  • Body: Mornings = movement, hydration, and zero screens. Thinking about adding mushroom gummies to the routine (stay tuned).

  • Exploration: A massive asteroid might hit Earth in seven years… but we move. Stress less, focus on what’s in your control.

  • Challenge: Cutting down my tea intake (from "one every hour" levels to one in the morning only). Pray for me.

That’s a wrap for this week.

Keep moving forward, embrace the unknown, and I’ll keep you posted on my battle with tea dependency.

Yours in exploration,

Captain Sprigg
