This year brought us:

• Sky-high inflation and a cost-of-living crisis.

• Political shifts as governments changed hands across the globe.

• Market consolidations, shaking industries to their core.

• A surge in the freedom of speech movement, reigniting debates on expression.

• The horrific, ongoing war between Israel and Gaza stretched into its second year, drawing in Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Yet, amidst the turbulence, innovation shone through:

• AI and quantum computing surged ahead, promising to redefine our future.

• Crypto staged a dramatic comeback, reminding us that the wild west of finance isn’t going anywhere.

• We witnessed the continued push for longevity research, with breakthroughs in reversing biological aging and extending health spans.

• Breakthroughs in fusion energy and record adoption of solar and wind power offered hope for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

• Global Malaria Cases Drop to Historic Low and Egypt declared Malaria-free.

SPACE
Astronomical Wonders

My favourite… Space X…. This year, SpaceX continued to redefine what’s possible in space exploration. With multiple successful Starship launches, the company made strides toward its mission of interplanetary travel.

Highlights included:

• The first fully operational Starship mission, carrying satellites and supplies into orbit.

• Continued work on the lunar Starship for NASA’s Artemis program, bringing humanity closer to returning to the Moon.

• Expansion of Starlink, with over 5,000 satellites now in orbit, providing internet access to even the most remote parts of the globe.

Elon Musk’s vision of making life multiplanetary took tangible steps forward, with Mars missions edging closer to reality. 2025 is set to be another groundbreaking year.

On a cosmic note, 2024 gifted us a stunning total solar eclipse visible across parts of North and South America. A humbling reminder of how small we are in the grand scheme of things and how vast the possibilities are when we dare to look beyond ourselves.

INVESTMENTS
Highs, Lows, and Lessons

2024 was a year of financial adventure:

• Tech mutual funds: +44% - a stellar return.

• India allocations: +18% - steady growth in an emerging powerhouse.

• Crypto: +127.51% - an unforgettable comeback.

• Gold: +23.52% - “Gold is money, everything else is credit”

But not every bet paid off.

My single stock portfolio (day trading) started strong and by October I was up +108%, utilising AI to predict trends and accelerate my research. Then I tried leveraging (just 5x) and fell into an 88.8% loss position YTD, so I am ending the year with some great lessons.

Painful? Yes. But the thrill and the lessons? Priceless.

I’m ready to go again in 2025 - smarter, more focused, and armed with what I’ve learned.

CONCIOUSNESS
Life’s Curveballs

Not everything was smooth sailing. On Christmas Eve, my motorbike was stolen. This was my form of escapism, it allowed me to pack a bag, jump on and set sail on open roads and then eventually off-road, across rivers and hills with my boys - it meant the world to me and they took that away from me. Not just the physical bike but the escapism and adventures I look forward to.

The police said they couldn’t help, and my insurance? Registered to my old address…

What can you do? Get on with it.

4. Nailing my routines – Building a foundation for success, one habit at a time.
